Enrico Monti is a PhD candidate in Translation Studies at the University of Bologna, Italy. At present he is working on a dissertation titled “The Translation of Metaphors in the Fiction of William H. Gass”. He is a regular contributor for Translation Studies Abstract/Bibliography of Translation Studies (TSA/BTS) and co-editor of the monographic issue on translation of the journal RiLUnE (Review of Literatures of the European Union), titled “Traduzione Tradizione? Paths in the European Polysystem”. He is a literary translator from American English and has published Italian translations of novels by George Hagen and Richard Brautigan.
