What will the 21st century reveal in the worlds of translation and interpreting? To coincide with the Institute’s 21st birthday, ITI will be holding an International Conference in London between the 21st and 22nd April 2007. If you would like to submit a paper or propose a suitable topic for a poster session or conference workshop, we would like to hear from you.

The cultural turn in translation studies in the 1990s was both a response to and impulse for many im/perceptible changes in the discipline. The scope of translation was redefined so that the boundaries between the study of translation and other disciplines have come to be increasingly blurred.
EST Summer School Scholarship
Call for applications
Ever since it was founded in September 1992, EST has focused on drawing attention to new research in Translation Studies, and encouraging young scholars to join the collective endeavour. Since 2003, the Executive Board of EST has sponsored one participant per year attending a summer school of research in translation studies.
This year again, EST will sponsor one EST-member to attend a TS Summer School.
