I graduated in 2001 with a First Class Honours degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures (English and Spanish Studies - Linguistics, Literature and History) at the University of Sassari. During the academic year 2002/2003 I worked as a Language Assistant in Italian at the E.O.I. Barcelona-Drassanes and I taught undergraduate students in Italian grammar and language at the CETA - Escuela Univérsitaria de Turismo, Barcelona, Spain. In 2003 I enrolled as a Ph.D student at the Department of Linguistics And Modern English Language (LAMEL) at Lancaster Universityand I graduated in 2008. My research focused on the translation of humour in the audiovisual setting. While completing my PhD I also worked as a Language Assistant in Italian at the Department of European Languages and Culture (DELC) in this University. I am presently researching on translation and humour at the University of Athens, Greece.
